At Uptown Loops Hub, we humbly acknowledge that we live, learn, and serve on the unceded ancestral territory of the Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc, within Secwépemcúl’ecw, the land of the Secwépemc people.

As local residents and international students, we recognize that we are guests on this land. With deep respect, we thank the Secwépemc people for their ongoing stewardship, wisdom, and generosity in sharing this land with those who come here to grow, contribute, and belong.

May the languages we teach and the communities we build always honour the spirit of welcome and resilience rooted in this land.

    At Uptown Loops Hub, we believe every voice matters; your accent and background build our vibrant community. Through English, Spanish, and French lessons, as well as academic writing and math support, we help newcomers, students, and locals alike grow in confidence and communication.

    We believe language comprises each of our identities, dignities, and powers. Here, you will find a space where your voice is heard and celebrated.

    Our Conversation Circles are more than practice - they are connection. In a welcoming, multicultural space, locals and international students come together to share stories, learn from one another, and build friendships across cultures.

    Whether you are new to Canada or born and raised in Kamloops, there is a seat for you in the circle! Come listen, speak, and grow - together.

  • Support "Bottles for Hope"

    Bottles for Hope is an initiative by Uptown Loops Hub that transforms refundable bottles into meaningful support for local causes. All funds collected go directly to support food banks, immigrant services, parish ministries, and community projects in Kamloops.

    In addition to bottle returns, we welcome donations and commit a portion of our business profits to support grassroots efforts that uplift those most in need.

    It is our way of saying thank you - to the land, people, and the community that make our work possible.
